For the longest time I collected Lightroom presets because I was just never happy with how my images looked. I’ve spent years learning how to edit, use my camera, master sunlight, and I still wasn’t happy.

The problem was that I was trying to keep up with the photography trends of yellow everything, orange skin, and faded greens. Realistically, who really likes that? And honestly, you have to really know how to shoot and edit to get the right feel for that look. I was over it.

Don’t get me wrong, the change was scary, but I haven’t been this happy in a while. I struggled with what people will say, will they like it, will I lose clients? But, I realized that my entire career has been based on these questions and it’s time to start working from my heart and my soul. That’s where the good stuff comes from. I look forward to gaining more experience and starting to experiment with real film! look for film session in the future!
